Here is a round-up of the events at The Swan during August, 2025.
13th August: Quiz Night
Quiz Lord Martin returned this week with a great pub quiz! The Who Am I? picture round was particularly amusing! It was a battle at the top but Patrick's Posse just pipped the Wine Swillers to the top spot with a full house on the sport round – fair dues! Colin Waddington was lucky on the raffle again, picking a glass of wine as his reward.
15-17th August: SwanFest
What a show! Swanfest 2025 lit up Windsor with three incredible days of live music, family fun, glitter, pizza, and pints! There was sooooooo much to it we have created a separate page with lots of photos.

27th August: Quiz Night
Quiz Night attracted brand new teams and players experiencing Quiz Lord Martin's brainteasers for the first time and it was great to see some of them up there at the top! In a nail-biting tie break finish, the wonderfully (and as it turned out, appropriately!) named Benji Ate My Nail File beat old hands Desperados to the £25 bar tab prize. And raffle winner Matthew Waddington picked a glass of wine as his prize, exactly as his dad had at the previous quiz on the 13th!
The evening was bittersweet though, as Louise and Ian served their last plates from the Quiz Night Menu at The Swan pass. Over the past 18 months or so they have given their time and skill for free as volunteers, keeping quiz goers' brain cells energised and raising over £6,000 for the Renovation Fund in the process. Thank you both for your hard work and unstinting commitment to your community pub. Thanks also to Anne, Dawn, Bridget, Helen, Trudy, Peter and all Friends of The Swan who have helped with sou chef-ing, serving, clearing and the dreaded washing up, all as unpaid volunteers. THANK YOU!!!
