12th Oct: Quiz Night

Congratulations to Hetties Heroes who won our quiz this week. A knowledge of teddy bears and chocolate bars never came in so handy!! Congratulations also to Rachel Redvers who won a glass of wine in the raffle, which her Mum graciously gave up for the under 18s version of a chocolate bar and a can of coke! The quiz will be back again on Wed 26th Oct with the raffle jackpot still to be won.

28th Oct: Coffee Morning

At the end of October we had a coffee morning to raise funds for The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. We are pleased to arrange this annually to remember those who have given to protect us. The usual bakers and customers came to the pub to show their support for this very worthy cause.

30th Oct: Mini-Market

A dry day and a plethora of stalls made it a great day to pick up a bargain. Stalls from bric-a-brac, to cheese, to clothes mending, we had it all in The Courtyard and in The Coach House. It was well attended and people not only enjoyed what was ojn offer but also burgers and sausages from the BBQ manned by Ian.

The stall holders come in all shapes, sizes and ages. A real happy bunch that offered crafts, cocktails, and jams & chutneys too.

31st Oct: Morris Dancers

It was a very dark and very damp All Hallows' Eve night (aka Halloween) so we called on the Datchet Border Morris dancers to come and chase away the spooks and ghouls from The Swan. Due to the inclement weather their performance was held under “The Cow Shed” in The Courtyard to a very appreicative audience. It was a fabulous night with traditional music and dances that have been handed down for centuries.
