Renovation Diary: March 2022
4th March, 2022
Our volunteer Warriors remain very busy. The mammoth task of tiling is almost complete with just some final grouting to finish. Door frames have been installed in preparation for hanging the required, and very heavy, fire doors. The steel supporting the roof is now a tasteful anthracite in colour and the printer is ready to receive food orders placed at the bar - nearly there!
And the Warriors continued with the tiling and grouting that is very, very time consuming. This not only makes the place aesthetically pleasing, but very easy to maintain in the future.

The phrase watching paint dry is appropriate as much of the Warrior work this week has been about finishing the grouting of The Kitchen walls - not overly conducive to exciting photos! However, the photo does show a new ceiling being constructed to cover the many pipes and wires that have been installed in the corridor leading to The Kitchen. An important improvement that will provide a much needed enhancement to this access route.

The Kitchen gets ever closer to the finish line. Sincere thanks to everyone involved with a special shout to 'young' Terry who braved the rain on Thu to sweep The Courtyard before continuing to tidy up inside. Thanks also to Simon from Windsor Joinery who delivered and installed the glass in the third and final Kitchen window.

The work of the Warriors continues both inside and out. Tony has been hard at work in the corridor while John prepped and painted the new Kitchen windows. Plus Jenny adding a touch of spring to the courtyard.
