March 2024

Here is a round-up of the events at The Swan during March, 2024.

13th March: Quiz Night

Winners this week were Patrick's Posse after Patrick himself managed to win the tie break with Universally Challenged. Sheila Allen held the winning raffle ticket and scooped a packet of crisps! The jackpot therefore rolls over to £40 at the next quiz on Wed 27 Mar.

16th March: Cycle Hub

The weather was nice this morning, so we had plenty of visitors, regulars & volunteers to lay on 2 Level 3 rides up to Windsor Great Park today. Our Level 2 regulars all rode up Heartbreak Hill, by the Valley Gardens, without getting off. Now we know they can all use their gears, we'll be adding some more to future rides. They all qualify as Level 3 riders now & and extra hearty lunch back at the Swan in Clewer

22nd March: Coffee Morning

It was our monthly coffee morning in aid this year of King George VI Day Centre. We were a week early due to Easter next week. Huge thanks to the volunteers who baked, served and otherwise helped out to make this a real success. Also thanks to the Chatty Café team, the King George VI Day Centre team, and all of the Friends of The Swan for you support. We raised £261.84. FANTASTIC!

One of our Chatty Café co-hosts - Trudy Lowe - was interviewed for the first Friday afternoon show that focusses on community events and achievements. The host was XXX. During the conversation Trudy described the success of this at The Swan and how other local areas could benefit from it too. Listen here:
