6th February - Board Games Night
The two big tables in the alcoves, and one in the centre of the pub, were taken over by the board gamers. They were playing a range of popular and also new games hosted by local games inventor, Simon. This occurs on the first Monday of the month. All are welcome to these events.
8th February - Quiz Night
A packed house enjoyed another brain testing quiz courtesy of quizmaster Martin. Congratulations to the winning team, Three Little Pigs, and to Peter Fletcher who had the winning raffle ticket and claimed his prize, a packet of crisps. This means that the jackpot rolls over again and will be a staggering £70.
15th February - Painting Class
Every Wednesday there is a Painting and Drawing class hosted by Dean, a professional artist. The classes vary from 4 to 10 people of mixed abilities, with Dean there to encourage and coach the budding artists. Those that attend thoroughly enjoy and recommend it. Classes are usually in six week blocks but you can try one out to get the feel for it.
As the concentration levels are high, we do not like to interrupt the classes for photos. These are some rare ones of class in action. Do you fancy it? Please do get in touch.
