May 2022
Here is a round-up of the events at The Swan during May, 2022.
11th May: Quiz Night
Congratulations to Swan Patrol, winners after a tie break question. Seen here having cashed in their prize for some celebratory bubbles. Our lucky raffle winner also scooped a free drink but didn't walk off with the jackpot. This rolls over to our next event on 25th May when it will be worth a Swantastic £50!
12th May: Epic Thursday
A truly Epic Thursday this week as the students and Green Room School staff produced wonderful meals in our new Kitchen and served it to our many happy customers. In their own words ...
We had an AMAZING time yesterday for Epic Thursday! GR6 were absolutely privileged to be able to serve some of the first food out of The Swan's new wonderful kitchen! Great things lie ahead. We're so happy that we could serve so many customers such an amazing breakfast. We'll be doing it all again next Thursday with our Epic Brunch Menu.
Epic Thursdays allow the students to learn a range of skills for the future including coffee barrista, taking payments, serving, taking orders, preparing & cooking food and clearing up. All useful for getting a job in the future.
13th May: The W&E Dray
We were delighted to learn that the Windsor and Eton Brewery Dray would be doing the beer drop-off for our Kitchen opening. A great sight in Mill Lane and a great tradition that The Brewery is continuing.
13th May: Kitchen Test Day
After a significant amount of work over several years, and with covid to boot, The Kitchen is now open. Thanks to everyone involved in this fantastic achievement. All you have to do is try it for yourself.

Tasty test dishes by Josh, our new chef, with the assistance of Micky.
We are absolutely delighted that our newly opened Swan Kitchen has achieved a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating. This is testament to the worl put in by the whole team.
25th May: Quiz Night
Congratulations to our worthy winners of this weeks Swan Quiz. A welcome return to the winners enclosure for Hetties Heroes and a first jackpot winner, Christopher Eadle, who chose the right envelope and bagged himself £50. Sadly for everyone else this means that the jackpot at the next quiz, 8 Jun, will start at £10.
27th May: Coffee Morning
On the last Friday of every month we have a charity coffee morning for the local community. Baking is generously donated, and the bar team and students offer their time to help. Funds are raised for a chosen worthy cause.
This month we chose to support our local charity for 2022, the Family Friends. With nearly 50 people attending, we managed together to raise a whopping pound;432.36 for them. Thanks to every one who got involved.
May Newsletters
Although our news page has all the newsletters, we thought it might be easier to access this month's ones from here.
