June 2022
Here is a round-up of the events at The Swan during June, 2022.
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Delicious afternoon tea served in glorious sunshine leading to some very happy customers. With food lovingly prepared in our very own kitchen, and served by staff and volunteers, it was an ideal opportunity to get into the Jubilee mood.
We even had our very own Royal visitor as Bess made, and proudly wore, her very own crown.
Live music from Mark & Sherridan, James Brown and guests and a flypast from the Red Arrows, not to mention the firework display visible from Windsor Castle, provided a truly Happy and Glorious way to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
Huge thanks to the staff and especially the volunteers for making such a memorable day.
8th June: Quiz Night
Congratulations for another Swan Quiz win for the now infamous Hetties Heroes Team. Is it time others gave these serious quizzers a run for their money? Your next chance is on Wed 22 Jun at 7:30pm. There will also be the opportunity to win the extra prize which has rolled over to £20. Rob Smith was the lucky winner this week and hopefully he enjoyed his free drink on the house.
22nd Jun: Coffee Morning
Thanks to the volunteers and bakers for putting on another smashing coffee morning in aid of the restoration funds. The team were that busy, they didn't get many photos at all. Thanks to all who came along and enjoyed the morning.
23rd June: Quiz Night
Congratulations to our quiz winners 'The Milky Bar Kids' who prevailed in a closely fought competition this week. Here is them receiving their £25 Swan Bar Card. Also, congratulations to our raffle winner (apologies for not getting your name) - we hope you enjoyed your prize packet of crisps. The jackpot now rolls over to £30 at the next quiz on Wed 13 Jul.
26th June: Mini-Market
Another opportunity was had to buy some fine crafts and cheese at our Mini-Market in The Courtyard and The Coach House. Always popular, we had a good turn out for the various stalls. There was a BBQ too.
June Newsletters
Although our news page has all the newsletters, we thought it might be easier to access this month's ones from here.
