January 2020
Here is a round-up of the events at The Swan during January, 2020.
12th Jan: Plastic Free Windsor
Plastic Free Windsor is a group of local volunteers who are striving to educate and remove plastic from our daily lives. They do this through running events such as informational sessions for local businesses and the community, and also organising clear-up sessions in the environs of Windsor & Eton. We were delighted to host one of their sessions in early January.
They have been instrumental in Windsor being awarded 'Plastic Free Communities' status, being one of 700 communities across the way who are leading the way in tackling 'throw away' plastic at source. You often see them pop up at the local supermarkets to give advice of recycling.
To learn more about them, please visit the Plastic Free Windsor Facebook page. They are always looking for people to join them too. Why not get in touch?
20th Jan: Brew Monday
Sharing a cuppa (or a pint) with some companionship and chat is really important. The Samaritans took Blue Monday - the most depressing day of the year - and turned it into a reason for getting together and not being alone. If you came down specially or simply spoke to someone new - thank you!

22nd Jan: Quiz Night
Winners on the night were: Up The Swanny
