Run by the Directors of The Swan Clewer CIC and with the agenda and minutes taken by the Company Secretary, the Open Forum is a device for two-way communications to improve the pub and ensure that we are adhering to the four guiding principals. There are usually representatives from the school, pub and the community there. Watch out for the invites in the future.

#9: 20th May 2024

The Directors have pleasure in inviting you to attend the next Open Forum which will be in the Coach House at the Swan on Monday 20th May 2024, at 7:30pm for a start at 7:45pm. Hollie Harrison (Community Director), Richard Allen (Director and Green Room Foundation representative), Willie Calvert (Director and W&E Brewing Co Ltd representative) and Micky Foden-Andrews (General Manager) will be present together with members of the Friends of the Swan Committee.

The Open Forum is an opportunity for members of the Bevy (those who have supported the Swan financially or with donations in kind and time) and also the wider pub community (customers, newsletter subscribers, and other supporters) to hear from the Directors about the current status of The Swan and plans for the future, but is mainly to allow you to raise issues, make comments, and generally contribute to discussions about the Swan community. Notes from the meeting will be made available via the Swan website after the meeting.

#2: 9th January 2023

The open forum is a concept that is being trialled with the investors first, and may be opened wider in the future. The idea is for the directors to get frank, open and honest feedback and allow them to communicate in an easier and more friendly way than emails, etc. This was the second forum. No pictures unfortunately, just the minutes.

#1: 7th November 2022

Announced at the AGM a few weeks ago, the Open Forum is a way for The Bevy (shareholders and loanees) to interact directly with the Directors. Pass on feedback, ask questions, and get an update. The Coach House was full for the first one.
