Events Diary: Bonfire Night

Video

We have loaded the video taken from the scaffolding to YouTube. This is the best way of taking in the evening and also see our Guy getting put on the bonfire. Although it was a cold evening, people had wrapped up warm and came to enjoy themselves.

To be honest we weren't sure whether people would come to a bonfire in The COurtyard or would prefer to go to one of the bigger, organised events at The Racecourse and the likes. We weren't disappointed as the local community wanted to spend it together, with people they know, in a safe environment.

John - our resident pyromaniac and a volunteer - was in charge of the bonfire. We think he got it spot on between entertainment and safety. And he didn't burn down The Stables either - result!

Annoucnement for the bonfire night Calm before the storm in the courtyard Popcorn machine hotting up Bonfire in full action
Sparklers were available, five for £2 It got busy towrds 7pm Louise making popcorn Courtyard sarting to fill

A huge thanks to all the volunteers who were involved in making this night such a success. From clearing up The Courtyard, to getting the wood, to managing the bonfire, to sparklers, to toffee apples and pop corn plus manning our BBQ. Thank you.
