The Swan is owned by a Community Interest Company (Swan Clewer CIC) which is owned for the benefit of the Clewer Windsor community and run with its interests in retaining a local pub for the community. There are over 100 shareholders who are members of the local community, some of whom actively support the pub by managing it and being responsible for the refurbishment work required.
Absolutely! Contact the Company Secretary to register your interest in acquiring a Share either from an existing shareholder or if there are any future issues of new Shares. We have also offered the possibility of loaning money to The Swan to be repaid a twice the value in a few years time so you can register your interest in that scheme as well if you wish. Yes, The Swan is wheelchair-accessible and family-friendly. We warmly welcome cyclists (with cycle racks and air-pump available), dogs, and children in our pub and dining spaces.
We don’t have any parking space available and local streets are ‘permit parking’ controlled. But we are just a short walk away from the Windsor Leisure Centre car park in Stovell Road – through the arch under Royal Windsor Way and via Clewer Court Road.
Not at the moment – we’re focussed on being a great community pub and event space, restoring the pub frontage and then developing the courtyard to be more dog friendly, and then we have space on the first and second floors of the pub building that we could turn into bedroom or dining spaces.
