The Swan is a lively community hub, with a busy calendar of events, clubs and social gatherings throughout the year. From regular favourites such as bingo nights and quiz nights to music, markets, fairs and community meet-ups, there is always something happening.
The Windsor Cycle Hub meets every Saturday at 11am, offering a free “bike kitchen” for safety checks and repairs, alongside guided rides for all abilities through Windsor and Eton. On the last Friday of each month, Coffee Mornings from 10:30am to 12:30pm bring people together over homemade cakes, conversation and fundraising for good causes.
You’ll also find events such as Uke‑Oke with a live ukulele band, cribbage, board games, Warhammer, the Chatty Café, Stitch Gang, art classes, conversational French and a regular German Stammtisch.
Each year, The Swan hosts SwanFest, with live music, community celebration and plenty going on for all ages. Beer festivals, film screenings, wine and cheese evenings, charity markets and other special events all add to the mix, making The Swan much more than a pub.
The Friends of The Swan are a growing community of local people who help keep our community-owned pub thriving. Whether you have an hour to spare, a skill to share, or simply want to support what we’re doing, there’s a place for you.
From baking cakes for charity coffee mornings and tending the flowers in the courtyard garden to helping with maintenance projects, events and fundraising activities, every contribution makes a difference. The Swan’s success is built on the enthusiasm, generosity and support of local people.
Being a Friend of The Swan doesn’t have to mean making a regular commitment. Support can be as simple as attending events, volunteering occasionally, sharing news on social media, or helping spread the word about what we’re doing.
Together, the Friends help create the welcoming atmosphere that makes The Swan such a special place. By bringing people together, supporting local causes and encouraging community involvement, they play an important role in shaping The Swan’s future.

The Swan is proudly owned by Swan Clewer Community Interest Company (SCCIC), a community-owned organisation created to secure the long-term future of The Swan for the benefit of local people.
Formed in March 2018, SCCIC purchased The Swan in January 2019 following an extraordinary community effort. The Company has been supported by almost 300 lenders and shareholders, whose investment and belief in the project helped to save this historic pub and return it to the heart of village life.
Today, SCCIC is supported by 112 community shareholders, alongside its principal shareholders, The Green Room Foundation and Mr G W Calvert. As a Community Interest Company, profits are largely reinvested into maintaining, improving and developing The Swan for the benefit of the Clewer and Windsor communities.
The Swan’s continued success depends not only on people enjoying a drink, a meal or an event, but also on the commitment of those who invested in its future, continue to volunteer their time, and support the pub’s community purpose.
Community ownership is not simply part of The Swan’s history; it remains central to its future.
